Dear Christine,
Is Modernism Kaputt! Ha!
Is Modernism separate from Post-modernism or is Modernism an umbrella term that includes Post-modernism? The question is up for grabs meaning who knows? Although, privately, I secretly believe that modernism encompasses Post-modernism - swallowing its own!
The whole thing is fun! Sarcasms! Unsolvable situations! The stupidities of announced opinions! Who the hell is saying what? The dogs are pulling down the banner „Modernism is Kaputt“ so obviously they don´t think so! Or do they? Or do they disagree between the two of them? And how about that ugly uncaring dog who says „So What?“ He doesn´t care whether Modernism is Kaputt
or not. He may be so stupid that he doesn´t know what modernism is!
It´s a free-for-all like the damned art world. Everybody has a voice and is all screwed up. So it is finally a fun world and dogs and skulls can merrily play out their roles even if there are no skulls in Modernism is Kaputt.
In other words dear Christine, it can mean anything you want it to mean. It´s part of running free.

"I have pictured some of the events and some of the kinds of experiences that undercut our current world pictures, that is to say the effects of power and domination, the uses of interrogation to control dissidence or opposition, how such behaviours effect the consciousness and psychic responses of victimizers and victims and also to indicate some of the public and private behavioral gestures of men acting out real time reactive scenarios."
